Today we’re featuring just one swing gate installation, that we completed recently in Terranora, on the southern end of the Gold Coast.
Because we install, rather than just supply our gates, chief installer Leo gets to visit some great locations and properties across the region.
(Me? I’m stuck here looking at this white wall in the office!)
Terranora is such a location. In fact, it might be one of those places where the real estate agent’s “million dollar views” is actually true!
Now that’s a view!
The install called for double swing gates, with each leaf mounted on a rendered concrete pillar.
The pillars were built & completed by Paron & Phillip Builders from Tweed Heads, and included power for the gates, intercom and decorative lighting.
The custom gate was made in aluminium, with vertical tubes and a satin black powdercoat finish.

The gate motors
Nice Hopp gate motors were selected for this particular job, as their articulated arm design is ideal for installs on larger size brick or concrete pillars.
Their design also includes fewer moving parts, allowing for greater reliability and quieter operation.
The video intercom system
Completing the installation, an Aiphone JO series video intercom system was also included, with the control panel mounted onto one of the pillars.
